How our PTSD drug candidate works: QBP1 peptide

Post-traumatic stress disorder occurs after a traumatic event through the formation of new proteins and neuronal connections, through the activation of a CPEB3 protein, which is involved in memory consolidation. This occurs mainly in the REM phase of sleep. QBP1 is a peptide that acts as a switch in CPB3 and memory consolidation. We have demonstrated this in preclinical models in 2 species and included it in the use patent.
